1.3 How to Study This Course

These are the study recommendations for the full course, but they also apply to your study of the first two units.

Study at Your Own Pace

This course has been designed to let you study at your own pace. The course is divided into seven units. Each unit will take approximately 2 hours to complete with some extra time to do your journaling. You may study at your own pace.  However a good rule of thumb is to complete one unit per week, as this will help you to stay on track to finish your course within the time frame given.

Set a Specific Time for Study

If possible, set aside a specific time for study, like a particular evening or weekend day that you dedicate to this course and the assignments. Select a time where you know you can be focused and will not be disturbed. You will have two months to complete this course starting from the time you registered. We recommend that you use a calendar to set personal due dates for completing sections or units.

Keep Track of Your Progress

Keeping track of your progress will help you stay motivated as you move through the course.  Use the checkboxes to the right of each activity or resource to mark that you have completed it.  Moodle will remember the items that you checked off the next time that you login to study.
